Brown Hound Dog Training was built out of a genuine passion for both dogs and people.​

Before entering the dog training world professionally, I attended NYU with plans to work in social services and the nonprofit sector. Over time, I realized that what mattered most to me wasn’t working within large institutions — it was having a direct, meaningful impact on everyday lives and relationships.

Dog training gave me exactly that. What began as a break from school quickly became a career rooted in purpose. I found that helping people better understand and communicate with their dogs could fundamentally change the way they move through daily life together — with more clarity, confidence, patience, and intention.

Driven by curiosity, hands-on experience, continued learning, and a genuine commitment to both dogs and their owners, my approach to training is largely play-based, combining structure and clear communication to help dogs learn effectively by building confidence, clarity, and genuine enthusiasm for the work.  Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of dogs and behavioral challenges throughout New York City, developing an approach that is thoughtful, practical, and individualized to the dog in front of me.

To me, training has never been just about obedience. It’s about building a relationship that allows both dog and owner to live together more harmoniously and with a greater understanding of each other.

At Brown Hound, the goal is not perfection. It’s creating sustainable, meaningful progress that improves everyday life on both ends of the leash.
